The province reported its first two cases last week of the condition, known as vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT).

 Health officials in Ontario are reporting a third case of a rare blood clot associated with AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams said Monday that a man in his 70s is the latest person to suffer a clot after receiving a dose of the vaccine. The man is now receiving treatment in hospital.

They keep calling it rare, but, it seems to be coming less so..
                                   
 Ontario has now given out around 650,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, and Williams said the chances of an extreme adverse reaction remain low.

“So we are continuing to monitor the situation, we are continuing to document these, to investigate them, and in partnership with our federal, provincial, territorial teams, we're looking at those on a national basis,” Williams said at a news conference Monday.

So we’re looking at roughly  one case per every 200,000 shots given here in Ontario.
    
Of course they keep pushing the idea of  risks if you get the virus, blah, blah, blah, failing as always to acknowledge that only  roughly 3 percent of Canada’s population tested positive. Positive tests are not people who are necessarily ill- Past infections are  picked up in the PCR tests. And the vast majority of those with the virus recover with no special care required ( 80 %) according to WHO statistics.

A San Francisco Bay Area man in his 30s is recuperating after developing a rare blood clot in his leg within two weeks of receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, University of California, San Francisco officials said.

It’s being claimed this is the first man known to have got VITT in the US- But, I don’t believe that. Perhaps it’s just the first man with the J&J vaccine. Men have succumbed to this vaccine induced condition here and one of the very first cases reported on here at PFYT’s was a man in the US who had received either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and he died.
